Daily Routine:
Each day will consist of a morning free play from 9am – 9:15; one academic with craft time, one gym class, a group activity (songs, music, games or dance), and group snack with scheduled bathroom breaks throughout the day.
Folders will be kept in each child’s cubby. Parents check it daily for important informational handouts such as homework and updates on class projects or upcoming celebrations.
We reward positive behavior with our classroom behavior charts. Each day your child has the ability to earn one sticker for good behavior. When they have collected four stickers they earn a trip to the treasure box! To better communicate with you about your child’s day, inside their folders you will find a progress report. If they earned a sticker that day it will be noted with another sticker or a stamp.
Parents re-enforce good behavior by encouraging their child and letting them know how proud they are when they do well. We want everyone to make it to the treasure box!

Snacks: Parents are responsible for providing healthy and nutritious snacks for their children to enjoy during our designated snack time. We ask that you please avoid snacks containing high sugar content as this can sometimes cause contention among other children and may also cause hyperactivity. Sippy cups or sports bottles are highly recommended to help avoid spills!
Illnesses or Injuries: As a precautionary measure, and to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, we ask that parents keep their children at home at least 24 hours (longer if needed) should their child exhibit any of the following symptoms: fever, diarrhea, vomiting or nausea, and/or runny nose with thick mucus. Should a child become ill or injured during their Preschool JAM class, the lead instructor will apply appropriate first aid and contact the parent using the number provided at drop-off. The parent will be required to sign an injury or incident form upon arrival that documents the event. If the injury or illness is life threatening, we will contact 911 and take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of the children.
